Job Details

Front of House Supervisor

The Front of House Supervisor is responsible and accountable for all dining services, and assumes complete responsibility for the restaurant as necessary. The supervisor works to ensure that all activities are consistent with and supportive of the restaurant’s business plan. The supervisor ensures all employees are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions.

The responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to the following:

Support manager in daily operations of dining outlet through developing a high energy, guest service focused team through leading employees in customer service and managing resources

Monitor guests/ members service and dining experience and take action to ensure service goals and satisfaction levels are attained

Support and demonstrate dining room standards, ensuring that guest service is always in the forefront of the restaurant and implementing plans to improve service levels with measurable goals and benchmarks

Collaborate with chef to improve food expediting process for Lunch and Dinner

Maintain a strong presence by visiting every table at least once during the experience

Upholds company food safety, food handling and sanitation requirements, to ensure the health and safety of our customers and employees.

Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given attentive, friendly, and courteous service at all times

Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards

Achieve company objectives in sales, service, and quality, appearance of facility, sanitation, and cleanliness through training of employees and by creating a positive and productive working environment

Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures

Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are always meeting guest expectations

Continuously strives to develop staff in all managerial and professional areas and follow up opening & closing check lists

Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Crystal Springs Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel

Communicate necessary information to staff, peers and superiors with energy and enthusiasm including running energetic, informative daily lineups

Engage and coach employees in job performance

Ensure safety standards and goals are practiced and attained

Ensure company policies and work rules are followed

Physical Demands:

Endures various and repetitious physical movements throughout the work areas

Reach high areas, hard-to-reach corners, forward bending and kneeling, and lifting

When necessary, remain stationary for long periods throughout the work shift

Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding

Work safely in confined spaces

Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures like (32°F) and (90°F), possibly for 20 minutes to 1 hour

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch

Must be able to push and pull equipment up to 100 lbs

Requires listening and hearing ability and visual acuity

Talking and hearing occur continuously in communicating with guest

Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment

Requirements:

Must have evening, weekend, and holiday availability

Must have a flexible schedule to meet Hotel needs
